The map seems to work fine at http://www.nerdexpress.com/listings/ – however I would like it to pop up an image/title on hover…

Also…the maps are not working on individual listing pages…they are all blank like this one.

Is there some setting I am missing?

Also, how can I make links in the listings open with a new browser tab?

When I had this shortcode the map would not show at all [generate_map size=’4′ pop_up=’1′]

Maybe I don’t understand the integer of the pop up…what is that number supposed to be?

Hi Jan,

The integer you are using is ok. Maybe you are experiencing a conflict. Have you tried our troubleshooting tips?

Specifically, I would suggest that you consider trying one of the stock wordpress themes e.g. twentyfifteen with all other plugins deactivated. This would help to confirm you are not experiencing a conflict with a plugin or theme

I have gone thru every plugin and disabled and even switched the theme to twnety15 to check. I am however going to have to use the theme in place as that is the client request.

But….

Even after disabling all plugins, switching themes to check and leaving the [generate_map size=’4′ pop_up=’1′] as it was…

I get no map at all if shortcode is as above at http://www.nerdexpress.com/listings/ – if I remove the pop up and integer then map shows. But I really need the popups.

And:

No matter what I do, the map does not show in the listings. http://www.nerdexpress.com/listings/gated-home/

I have tried to set options to view in’tab’, in ‘page’ – but nothing.

And I still have the question on how to get links to open in new tab or window to someone isn’t leaving the site when clicking on a website link.

This is all pretty frustrating…and yes, I have deleted the listing software and reinstalled and that was a real pain since all listings had to be recreated too.

I’ve bought several add ons from you..but at this point, without the mapping portion…I am wondering…

So please…help me get this going.

also…links are set to ‘new tab’ in options…doesn’t work. when clicking on a link from listing..it just leaves the site. no new tab is opened.

Its preferable that you create separate topics for the different issues you have listed going forward.

Yes, I have clicked on the map tab. This link shows a screenshot of what I get..and have tried 3 browsers and mobile. All the same result.

The only way I can get a map to show on a listing page is to right click and do an ‘inspect element’ – but if I reload the page, the map goes away.

I have tried this on several different computers and on mobile devices. All have the same result.
The map loads fine on the main page http://www.nerdexpress.com/listings/ – but if I use the pop up code it goes away.

I just the what looks like the screenshot above.

And yes, I will in the future start a different topic on such things as having websites in listings open in a new tab…but would like a solution to this.

Hi Jan,

There is nothing more we can do about the listing on page. As noted before, we were not able to replicate the issue on your website. The map loads fine on your site as you can see from the screenshot we shared

One thing we did notice was that it was slow to load. Maybe this is an issue with your server? However, ultimately the map did load 100%. If you are willing to deactivate all other plugins, return to one of the stock themes, then alert us when this is completed, we would be happy to take another look

Our team is investigating the other issues you noted

Will await your response as to the pop-ups…i just get a map that says ‘there are no locations to show’ and the map isn’t there…just sort of a washed out area where the map should go.

and..also opening links in separate tab..or do you want me to open a new thread for that one?

We tested the pop_up and new tab options. They both worked fine. Take a look at the following example url

I would suggest deactivating all plugins not created by our team. Also return to one of the stock wordpress themes or one created by our team. Then retest these options. We are unfortunately not able to replicate the issues you have shared
