How can i prevent users from selecting more than one category? I am using automatic mail based on new posts per category. I am seeing the same posts because some users select all categories. This is not what we need.

Documentation – https://www.beprosoftware.com/documentation/conditional-form-fields/
Demo – https://beprothemes.com/catalog/submit-a-listing/OR
You are using the Form Builder. It is easy to use any field and make it the Category field. I would suggest using a select box option with the field name “categories[]”

BePro Software TeamFebruary 7, 2016 at 12:29 pm #7940baljeeMemberThanks for your response, the latter option is what i needed. I have added a dropdown which i name categories. It then ads the listing with the correct categorie in the backend. But it doesn’t show up correctly in the frontend. It shows up as: “Name of the dropdown: -NA” in my case: Kies de rubriek: – NA.
How can i correct this?
February 7, 2016 at 4:57 pm #7944BePro Software TeamKeymasterHi,
Does this happen when the option is left blank or is the selected option not being shown? Can you share a screenshot or a link to the issue to help us understand?

BePro Software TeamFebruary 8, 2016 at 5:41 am #7948baljeeMemberHi, thank you for your response.
I have attached multiple screenshots. This is the testing listing: http://www.passieinactie.nl/Aanbod/dit-is-een-droom-om-te-testen/
When I create a listing via the front-end form.
It results in the listing tot show up with the correct category. Search function works as well.
The detail shows up:
The detail doesn’t show the category. The category field is set up like this in the backend:
Hope this helps.

We tested this and on the following url
– https://beprothemes.com/realestate/listings/sample-real-estate-listing/
Notice the following fields
dropdown – g
testdrop – naDropdown is selected as g. testdrop is left blank and shows “NA”. Are you selecting an option from your selectbox or is it left blank (nothing selected)? “NA” is the default when nothing is selected

BePro Software TeamFebruary 11, 2016 at 2:09 am #7970baljeeMemberThanks for your response.
As shown in my screenshots I am selecting an option. The difference is probably that I created a custom way to select the categories. If it helps I could provide a backend login.
I am suspecting there is something wrong when you name the field categories.
February 11, 2016 at 7:47 am #7973BePro Software TeamKeymasterHi,
What happens when you name the field something else?
___
BePro Software TeamFebruary 11, 2016 at 11:00 am #7975baljeeMemberThe form also contains a pulldown named “acht_prinicpes” where you can only select “Ja”.
This displays without a hitch.
I need the option to block multiple categories. See your advice on the start of this thread. Please advice.
February 12, 2016 at 7:51 am #7982BePro Software TeamKeymasterHi,
Our advice was to use the field name “categories[]”. Are you using that term with the brackets?
___
BePro Software TeamFebruary 12, 2016 at 9:42 am #7988baljeeMemberThen it doesn’t work. I have tested it with and without brackets.
When using the brackets it does’t show in the listing and the category isn’t set.
I have also tried it with a radio field. With and without the brackets. The same result.
I need this option to work nicely. Is there an issue with the values? How does the normal category field work. Does that use a different display method?
Kind regards
