does the plugin allow separate directories or do i need origami to keep real estate and business listings apart?
January 2, 2015 at 7:51 pm #3821BePro Software TeamKeymasterHi,
The short answer is yes, you need origami.
Origami and the real estate addon were created before the Form Builder. In fact, they can work together, independently of the form builder. However, the key is the search features, which the Form Builder does not manage.
With the form builder installed, origami’s main purpose becomes helping you to separate search features. So for example, the real estate search options wont show up on a page having to do with business listings.
Behind the scenes, the real estate addon is attaching itself to all search filter templates. It has no clue where you are putting that search filter. It also has no clue about other plugins that may be adding search features. Origami knows and allows you to set one of them as the focus of searches. Any plugin not explicitly named will refrain from rendering search options

The short answer is yes.
The form builder already separates all features except for search. Origami takes care of that. So together there is no limit to the amount of directories you can run on one domain

I recently bought both the form builder and the origami addons for the bepro listings plugins. At first I thought that I could create a different Origami ID for each form built, so that I could next separate searches and listings associated with each form. The form builder interface doesn’t allow, I believe, to add a origami ID?Is there any way I can do this?
Thanks a lot 🙂

Thanks for purchasing Origami. Its an exciting addon with a bright future.
You are right. Currently, you still have to enter the Origami ID into the [create_listing_form] shortcode and any other shortcode that makes sense. View the details of how to attach the Origami ID on the product details page

Origami empowers an addon to take control over a listing. The Form Builder simply captures and displays the info. They may seem to work together; However in reality, although their features compliment each other they actually work independently. We would be happy to discuss any ideas you may have, for making it easier to use the Form Builder and Origami together.

I should also mention that we are planning on integrating the Form Builder and Origami into our new Shortcode Builder feature. That way, its easier to build the shortcodes with the Form Builder and Origami
