Tagged: cart shortcode
Hello!
I’m currently evaluating your BePro Listings + cart plugins and it looks like item_number value is not honored in bepro_cart_button shortcode handler.
The issue happens when trying to add two different products with same names to the cart.
The first one is added OK but the second product is treated as if trying to add the first one again:
instead of adding one more line with 2nd product and its cost the first product is readded to the cart by incrementing its quantity.
Cheers!
Anton.
Hi
BePro Cart does not track the item_number for posts created in BePro Listings. We have an ecommerce solution planned; However, it is not ready yet. You may have more success using the “name” attribute with the actual name of the listing.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your response!
At the moment I’m using the “name” attribute just as you’ve mentioned.
But the name of the listing is not guaranteed to be unique.
On the opposite side the “item_number” attribute is unique and therefore is a better candidate for identifying a listing for addition to the cart.
If you will ever decide to rewrite the BePro Cart plugin – please make it use the “item_number”.
Anyway, your plugin is a very good starting point for a nice e-commerce cart!
Thanks!!
