Hello,

Though we expect to be importing the BePro Listings-based directory listings for the membership site we’re working on via CSV, we also anticipate situations where we will need to change the author of numerous listings manually.

All 300+ non-admin members on the site are set as Subscribers and we want to keep it that way. We’re noticing that if the author is already set to the member associated to with the listing, the member is listed as the author on the WP-editor page for that listing, no matter what their role is. However, if a listing’s author is set to the admin, and the user we want to assign authorship to is a Subscriber, the assignee doesn’t come up in the “Author” dropdown at all. We must upgrade them to a Contributor, change the setting, and then downgrade them back to Subscriber.

Is it possible to have Subscribers appear as options in the “Author” dropdown on the listing edit page as well? If so, how do we set that up?

Hi,

Unfortunately, we do not control the author dropdown. It is facilitated by WordPress. We simply ask the wordpress cms to include the feature into BePro Listings. Its functionality would be something wordpress would need to change.
