Where can one find the “Category ID”? I’ve tried using the Category slug and that does not work to filter the categories.

Hi,

We understand that many of our users are new to wordpress and are working hard on creating documentation to help.

Category ids are revealed in the url of each category. To view the url, either

A) Edit a category and view the url in your browser’s address bar
B) Hover your mouse over the category edit link. The url should be revealed in the bottom left of your browser

In each case, you are looking for the number after the section of the url which states “tag_ID=”
